Greetings, Spartan friends!

I want to let you know about a great opportunity to help improve health care for all our children, right here in Lansing.

MSU is currently working with community partners to establish the region’s first one-stop center for children’s specialized health care.

As a parent, I know first hand how important it is to have access to a diverse range of pediatric services. All too often parents have to leave our community just so their children can get the specialized treatment they need. The new proposed center will provide everything under one roof: from comprehensive outpatient medical care to coordinated resources and support systems.

To help meet our goal, we’re bringing health care and hoops together! Every time the Women’s Basketball Team made a three-point shot during the 2008-2009 season, money you pledged went directly to the MSU Children’s Health Initiative – and to a stronger, healthier future for our kids.

Total health care for kids under one roof. We can get there. You can help! When you play and our Spartans score, kids win.
