Our Programs...

Teddy Bear Hospital and Picnic

At this annual event, area pediatricians, medical staff and volunteers join forces to treat children’s teddy bears in our own Teddy Bear Hospital. We invite you to view our video about the picnic and view our 2008 sponsors.

  • Children feel less apprehensive about visiting the doctor.
  • Parents meet pediatric health care providers and resources in one place.
  • Practitioners showcase their services.

Parent Advocacy Group

No one is more acutely aware of the shortage of pediatric specialists than parents who have faced the challenges of long-distance, long-term care for their children.

MSUCHI Parent Advocates share their stories with legislators and other stakeholders, giving a voice and a face to this pressing need. All interested parents are invited to participate.

3-Point Challenge

Coach Suzy Merchant, our Honorary Spokesperson, and the MSU Women’s Basketball team help create a winning strategy for children’s health through donations based on the number of 3-point shots made throughout the season. Learn more about the 3-Point Challenge.

Kids of Inspiration

This ongoing program applauds children who have benefited from our pediatric specialists and programs.

Children who have faced unusual and difficult medical challenges are nominated by their doctors to be select as a "Junior Coach -- Kid of Inspiration."

One Junior Coach is recognized at each MSU Women’s Basketball home game. The honoree sits behind the bench, meets the coach and team, and receives a special mention during the game. Meet our kids of inspiration.
